This
maybe informal, but I just want to express my thoughts with this picture posted
by the Supreme Student Council of Mindanao University of Science and
Technology.
The BIG question as SSC says, what’s
your Problem?
As
one of the student leaders here in MUST this tag line of SSC is a bit of
insult. They even tried to ask what is /are the problem(s) of the students,
where in, they are the root of all the problem. If they are not, even a pace of
solution they cannot make. One good example is the very late unreleased
identification card of the students. As the head of the entire population of the
student in MUST they must raise the voices of the students to the admin of the
University or to the person who is in-charge. But, they do not do it their
actions are passive. They are like “maya” bird they can see but they are deaf.
One
of their ten-point agenda as they clad it to their selves is the WELFARE OF THE
STUDENTS. Now, where is it? Are they just good in words and left it behind
without any action? If they would rebut, we
are still a student we cannot make it as soon as possible. Then, why you
ran? Why you took the position? Have you perceived the consequences? Or you are
just dreaming. It is good to have dreams in life as your ideals. But, a dream
without foundation is like a suicide. Your killing yourself slowly by slowly
‘cause you set a high expectation and even one result you cannot see it ‘cause
you fail to do it.
“Dare
to move.” Are they moving? Obviously they are not. They are sitting in their
air-conditioned office and still dreaming. Whenever you ask them of something,
their answers are not accurate. One of the unit org President asked about the
scholarship of the officers. They replied, ah…
taysa ha... wala pa man gud namu nabuhtan ug formal paper. One of the
officers asked about the possible listing of the activities of University
intramural. They replied, ha… grabe
sayuha pa io. What they would like to tell us? Are they planning
accurately? Or still they are playing on their dreams.
SSC
ironically is not capable of their thoughts and actions. It seems they are
unripe leaders in layman's term “na ahat ug hinog.” Why is it? Can SSC answer
all of the questions stated above?Hello
SSC --- are we talking to the moon? We are asking questions to solve some
problem, yet, the answer is still a question.
